The Event Works shortlisted for Exhibition News Awards 2015

The Event Works has been shortlisted for Best Feature Area at the Exhibition News Awards 2015 for our Energy Saving Home initiative for the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show.

We’re delighted to announce that The Event Works has been shortlisted for the event industry’s Oscars: The Exhibition News Awards. The Energy Saving Home, built at the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show last year, is up for Best Feature Area at the awards on 10 April.

As the winner of Best Launch Show for The Renewables Roadshow back in 2012, our Chief Exec is hopeful of adding to previous accolades recognising his innovative concept work.

The Energy Saving Home concept

As the originator of the InstallerLive Show and the Renewables Roadshow, Dan Caesar has an in-depth knowledge of the construction industry and came up with the idea of creating a feature that housed the most comprehensive choice of energy efficient technologies ever assembled under one roof.

With the National Homebuilding & Renovating Show attracting 30,000+ delegates just around the corner, The Event Works approached the Managing Director of Centaur Plc.’s ‘Home Interest’ exhibitions, and agreed on what was to become a productive partnership approach.

The relentless rise of energy prices was dominating the news, and homeowners were more receptive than ever to technologies that tackle their energy bills; so the Energy Saving Home couldn’t of come at a better time, and was a must-see for tens of thousands of visitors who flocked to the NH&RS on 27-30 March 2014.

The final result was a feature area of a full-sized house, built over three days to incorporate in excess of 15 technologies within a physical footprint of 228m2. The front of the Energy Saving Home hosted a series of presentations as introduced by the Department of Energy & Climate Change, while the room-sets were staffed by energy experts to lead visitors from one technology to another. In addition, the Energy Saving Home was surrounded by exhibitor stands to allow contributors to comprehensively demonstrate products.

The Energy Saving Home initiative was a great success, and we are very proud to be shortlisted for an award for it. Keep your fingers crossed that the judging goes our way on the night! We’ll keep you updated on Twitter, Facebook, Google Plus, and Linkedin.
